VLeBooks is an e-book platform offering access to e-books purchased by the Library of the UL in various fields of science from the world's leading publishers.
Various web browsers can be used to enter this platform. To do that:
- Click on Shibboleth (if necessary)
- Find University of Latvia
- Enter your LUIS username and password in the login window.
A brief annotation is available for each book and its full text modes:
- Read Online – with the ability to print or copy 5% of the book, as well as use a variety of interactive options to work with the text of the book.
- Download – downloadable PDF – with access to the e-book from 1 to 5 days, without the possibility to print and copy.
All books purchased on this platform have a fixed number of uses per year for both online reading and downloading.
It is not permitted to copy or print more than 5% of the total number of pages in an e-book – this number is specified for each e-book.
