This year 120 students from UL and other Latvian universities have become name carriers of the UL Foundation and patrons, representing various fields of study. This year, a total of 35 scholarships have been awarded, thanks to both long-time and loyal, and new patrons.
Scholarships also bring ideas and expectations for future opportunities, upcoming outstanding achievements, and a rich contribution to society. Each year the circle of patrons from University of Latvia and UL Foundation is expanding - it’s not only philanthropy, but also an important evaluation for the work done together.
Donate - an action word that denotes philanthropy, our willingness to give, help each other, it's a word that emphasizes the deepest meaning of this process and action. Chairman of the Board of UL Foundation prof. emer. Ivars Lācis highlights how more capable and intelligent students and new researchers have become, thanks to the benevolence of patrons and donors, to what extent the UL Foundation has developed and how much scholarship holders have increased compared to its origin in 2001.
