The medical education platform OSMOSIS, which has been available to students and staff of the UL Faculty of Medicine and Life Sciences since December 2025, now includes the artificial intelligence tool OSMOSIS AI.

OSMOSIS is a medicine education platform that supports learning process with illustrated resources, improving and simplifying the experience for both students and educators. Starting April 13, 2026, the conversational AI tool OSMOSIS AI is added in UL Faculty of Medicine and Life Science user accounts. OSMOSIS AI delivers evidence-based responses to healthcare-related questions or prompts, sourced from Elsevier’s trusted library of medical resources.

OSMOSIS AI can be used for generating quiz questions or case studies, outlining lectures, creating reference sheets or getting clear explanations of complex healthcare topics. Each response includes a direct page citation, supplemental visual materials from OSMOSIS content, as well as follow-up questions.

To access the OSMOSIS platform, registered users of UL Faculty of Medicine and Life Sciences can use the “Sign in” option in the upper right corner of the OSMOSIS homepage.
