Before visiting the University of Latvia, we invite you to familiarize yourself with the changes in the working hours of the University of Latvia Library in the summer of 2025.
The libraries at the LU Academic Center will be open on weekdays from 9:00 to 17:00 from July 1 to August 24. The Library of the Science House will be closed on August 25 and 26. The working hours of the Natural Sciences Library will be open on weekdays from 10:00 to 18:00 from August 27-31. The libraries at the LU Academic Center are available to LU students and employees 24/7 with a valid LU ID card.
The library on Raina Boulevard will be open from 9:00 to 17:00 from July 1 to 27, but will be closed from July 28 to August 26. 27-31. In August, the Raina Boulevard Library will be open on weekdays from 10:00 to 18:00.
Other branch libraries will be closed from July 1 to August 26, but from August 27 to 31 they will be open on weekdays from 10:00 to 18:00.
The library on Rūpniecibas Street (Misiņa Library, Manuscripts and Rare Books Department and Intercultural Dialogue Center) will be closed from July 1 to 31. From August 1 to 24, the library on Rūpniecibas Street will be open on weekdays from 11:00 to 19:00, but on August 25 and 26 the library will be closed. From August 27 to 31, the library will be open on weekdays from 11:00 to 19:00. A visit to the Austrian and Swiss Reading Room, as well as the Intercultural Dialogue Center, must be booked in advance at misinabiblioteka@lu.lv or +371 67033956.
