During the session, from January 3 to 31, the LU libraries have different working hours.
Both libraries located in the LU Academic Center in Torņakalns – the Natural Sciences Library and the Science House Library – will be open from 10:00 to 18:00, but on January 17 (postponed working day) – from 9:00 to 17:00. Both of these libraries are available to LU students and employees 24/7 with a valid LU ID card.
The library on Aspazijas Boulevard will be open on weekdays from 10:00 to 18:00, and on Saturdays from 9:00 to 17:00.
The library on Raina Boulevard will be open on weekdays from 10:00 to 20:00 and on Saturdays from 9:00 to 17:00.
The Humanities Library on Visvalža Street will be open on weekdays from 10:00 to 18:00, and on January 17 – from 9:00 to 17:00.
The Educational Sciences and Psychology Library in Imanta will be open on weekdays from 10:00 to 18:00, and on January 17 – from 9:00 to 17:00.
The Social Sciences Library on Lauva Street will be open on weekdays from 9:00 to 19:00 and on Saturdays from 10:00 to 15:00 from January 3 to 23. On January 17 (postponed working day), the library will be open from 9:00 to 17:00, but on January 24 it will be closed. From January 27 to 31, the working hours will be from 10:00 to 18:00, while on January 31 the library will be closed.
The Library of BA School of Business and Finance will be open on weekdays from 10:00 to 18:00 and on Saturdays from 9:00 to 17:00.
The Misins Library on Rūpniecības Street will be open on weekdays from 10:00 to 18:00, but on January 17 – from 9:00 to 17:00. A visit to the Austrian and Swiss Reading Room must be booked in advance by writing to misinabiblioteka@lu.lv or by calling +371 25746866.
The Rare Books and Manuscripts Library “Bibliotheca Rigensis” on Rūpniecibas Street will be open on weekdays from 10:00 to 18:00, but on January 17 – from 9:00 to 17:00. A visit must be booked at least 1 business day in advance by writing to aija.taimina@lu.lv or calling +371 27096121.
